Jumping on the band wagon

So I decided to join the rest of the world and create a blog spot for our family. For give me if I am not so good at updating it though because life is kinda crazy for us at times. I do promise to do the best I can.

I guess I will start with a little history of how our family started. Cody and I met May of 2005 at a party we became friends but we did not actually start dating until Jan of 2006 . Cody proposed to me in November of 2006 and we were married that following August of 2007. I became pregnant with Noble the July before Cody and I got married so I was about 3 or 4 weeks along at our wedding.

This is when the real story of our family begins......
My pregnancy was pretty normal no real complications. We were so excited to find out we were having a boy and time seemed to crawl. On the night of April 20th 2008 we were at our usual Sunday night family dinner when I thought my water had broken. Cody rushed me to St Lukes at 9 that night only to be sent home 2 hours later. We went home a little disappointed but relieved that everything was okay. After a few hour of feeling uncomfortable and unable to sleep I decided to jump in the shower in hopes to try and relax my body. When I got out of the shower there was no denying that my water did indeed break and that we would need to head back to the hospital. It was around 1 am when we were finally admitted and I was not really feeling any pain just a lot of discomfort. I guess my water had broken but I was not in labor yet so we just waited in our hospital room for some kind of action to begin. By 7 am I was still not feeling any contraction so they gave me some patosin to speed things up. I handled the pain for quite a while but I finally got my epidural around 9. That seemed to speed things up and by 12 the epidural had worn off. Everything was going good except that Noble was facing the wrong way so we were trying everything possible to get him to face up but it just was not working. At 3:29 pm after hours of pushing and the doctor finally using a vacuum and his hand to turn him we finally had our son Noble Alexander Aschliman 6lbs 4 oz and 18 1/2 inches.

So now 6 months later life is great. Noble is getting big and starting to be such a blast. Things are pretty perfect at least until Monday. He was recently diagnosed with Muscular Torticollis which is a disorder where a muscle on the left side of his neck is short causing him to lean his head to one side. This is normally not a big deal if it is caught before the age of 3 months but Noble is now 6 1/2 months so we are a little scared. We see a physical therapist on Nov 19th and hopfully she will have more information for us.

Anyway sorry that is a lot of information for one post but I just wanted to catch things up.
